shared, scalable External IP Solution

Bud Broomhead, CEO of Intransa, the global leader of shared, scalable and simple external IP storage solutions, will be a featured panelist at ISC East, October 29 -30, at the Javits Convention Center, New York, NY. Intransa will also be exhibiting the latest IP storage solutions for physical security in booth 959 shared with IPVS Magazine and IP camera leader Axis Communications.
Intransa products bring the power of IP to video surveillance and other applications through shared, external storage for physical security. Intransa solutions scale from a few days of recording on the edge directly from IP cameras or for a few DVRs, to supporting hundreds of DVRs and thousands of cameras for years of retention with instant playback.
"Adding IP benefits to just one DVR brings reduced cost and improved reliability while dramatically increasing video retention," said Broomhead. "Getting the benefits of IP isn't just for large, big budget projects, but it also plays well when upgrading existing CCTV infrastructures that are in need of cutting costs and improving results."
Broomhead's session, Selling Security Convergence -- Bridging the Gap, will be hosted and moderated by industry luminary and author Dan Dunkel, president of New Era Associates, LLC. The session will be held in room 1E04 on Thursday, October 30, from 10:00 -- 11:30 a.m.
"Security convergence is happening now," commented Dunkel. "The challenge is to understand it and be prepared as it begins. Those attending the panel and hearing the realities from Bud and other panelists will strongly benefit from the session." Additional panelists include Scott L. Greiper, managing director and head of Legend Merchant Group's Convergent Security Group; Kelly Carlberg, worldwide channels, Cisco Physical Security Business Unit; and Wayne Smith, CSSP, vice president technology services, Tech Systems, Inc. Intransa is a Cisco Ecosystem Partner, while Tech Systems is a Cisco partner and member of the Intransa StorPartner security integrator and dealer program.
Now approaching his second year as Intransa CEO, Broomhead will share insights gained in bringing IP into existing analog surveillance environments while maximizing the benefits and eliminating the risk. Intransa customers in physical security, gaming and hospitality, manufacturing, public safety, government and homeland security, retail, transportation, energy, resources and education already benefit from the company's products to extend the capacity and capability of existing DVRs for less cost or for deployment in new, all-IP solutions.
Those stopping by Intransa booth number 959 will be able to learn more about reducing surveillance cost with IP storage and will also be eligible to win an Apple iPod 8GB Touch each day. "It's our way of reminding people that there is more than one way to store video," said Broomhead.
IPVS Magazine recently tested and certified Intransa IP storage for a variety of video surveillance needs and applications, declaring the product excellent overall with a recommended buy rating. Axis Communications is a member of the Intransa StorAlliance Technology Partner program and its cameras are certified through the Security-Grade IP Video Storage program for use on Intransa systems. Intransa is also a member of the Axis ADP program.
Broomhead will be joined by Intransa executives Jeff Whitney and George Vaiser at the show and are available to meet those interested in the latest trends and opportunities in physical security.
