India-Pakistan trains to be monitored

An alarming trend has officials sitting up and taking notice. Within the past 3 years, over 4000 Pakistani nationals did not return to their country, overstaying their short term visas to India.

Officials are concerned about the possibility of these people planning terrorist attacks. To this end, they have initiated the process of setting up surveillance systems at the main train stations of Attari and Munnabao to keep visual records of people.

This kind of a move is already in place in major airports and this move by the transit officials is being seen as supportive of others' efforts.
